Trail System Overview
Luton Park features multiple interconnected loops that range from beginner-friendly flow trails to advanced technical sections. The trails are well-marked with difficulty ratings, making it easy to choose the right route for your skill level.
Beginner Trails
The outer loops are perfect for beginners — flowy, smooth, and gentle. These trails build confidence and skills without overwhelming new riders. They're also great for warm-up laps.
Intermediate Trails
The middle loops offer bermed turns, small rollers, and optional features. These are the most popular trails at Luton and provide a fun, fast ride for intermediate riders.
Advanced Trails
The inner loops feature technical rock gardens, tight switchbacks, wooden features, and steep climbs. These trails challenge even expert riders and are where local racers train.
Parking and Access
Free parking is available at the Luton Park trailhead. The park is located in Rockford, about 20 minutes north of downtown Grand Rapids. Restrooms are available at the trailhead during warmer months.
Trail Conditions
Check trail conditions before heading out — the trails close after rain to prevent damage. WMMBA posts condition updates on their website and social media. Please respect closures.
Trail Etiquette
Yield to uphill riders, announce yourself when passing, and never ride closed trails. Luton is a multi-use park — be respectful of hikers and trail runners.
